Do Me Honor stalked the leader from the pocket, then poured through the Lightning Lane to capture Monday’s $18,000 Filly & Mare Not Listed Preferred/Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows.

Certified Ideal, the 1-2 favourite, clocked a reasonable :56.3 half on the front. But when Aaron Merriman knifed inside with Do Me Honor, she was the fresher mare, defeating Certified Ideal by three-quarters of a length in 1:52. Ladystar finished third.

Bill Bercury owns and trains Do Me Honor, a six-year-old daughter of Cheyenne Rei-Do Me Right who lifted her career bankroll to $455,248.

Tony Hall and Dave Palone each drove four winners on the 15-race card while Merriman enjoyed a triple.
