Exhibition Park Raceway fans had a chance to see the first two-year-old winner of the 2013 racing season in New Brunswick on Saturday afternoon.

Tobins Fusion, a colt by Western Paradise, recorded a maiden victory for trainer/driver Gilles Barrieau in 2:02. He is owned by Boyd MacDonald Produce Ltd and Daniel Ross of PEI and Charles Seymour of New Brunswick.

Meanwhile, Dusty Lane Oscar was at it again as he scorched the half-mile oval in 1:58.1 for owner/trainer/driver Chris Davies. That clocking was the fastest of the afternoon.

Mike Downey turned in a productive day as he recorded three wins on the afternoon program.

Racing will continue in the province of New Brunswick on the traditional July 1st Canada Day card at Fredericton Raceway.
