Vincent Ginsburg and Redneck Outlaw didn’t get to much of the pylons in Saturday’s $25,700 Caramore Final at The Meadowlands, but that didn’t stop them from registering a 1:50.3 score in the featured event.

Redneck Outlaw got away in mid-pack while Esprit De Kayjay A rolled the field to the quarter pole in :26.3. Even-money favourite Long Live Rock brushed to the front in the backstretch and sliced out middle panels of :54.3 and 1:23 with Redneck Outlaw chasing him while racing from first-over.

Redneck Outlaw, who was sent off at odds of 9-2, dug in down the lane and drew clear to win in 1:50.3. Long Live Rock held on for the runner-up award, with the show dough going to Dash N.

Trainer Vince Fusco, Jr. co-owns the seven-year-old son of Totally Western-Ever Running with Gina Frazzitta of Lake Hopatcong, NJ. The 10-time winner has posted a 2-2-0 record in his first four starts of the season. His lifetime earnings jumped to $325,943 with the win.

Saturday evening’s card also featured the semi-final of the Summer Survivor Series for three-year-old pacers, and Ima Giggity Fool rallied to win the $15,000 affair in 1:50.1 for driver Vincent Ginsburg.

The son of Cams Card Shark-Touch Of Class watched Late Night Joke supply the field with fractions of :27.4, :55.1 and 1:22, but Ima Giggity Fool advanced first-over on the final turn and wore down the pacesetter en route to posting the narrow win. Late Night Joke was second best, with race favourite Lucan Hanover finishing third.

Taylor Gower trains Ima Giggity Fool for Brian Bennett of New Egypt, NJ, and together they watched the pacer improve his 2013 record to 4-9-3 from 21 trips to the track. The colt has banked $40,941 to date.
