Cash Me Out (by Cash Hall) secured his first New York Sire Stakes win of the season on Friday night at Saratoga Casino and Raceway.

It was the beginning of the stakes season at the Spa on Friday and Cash Me Out was the star of the show. The locally based trotter for trainer Cheryl McGivern and driver Mickey McGivern went off as the public’s 1-9 favourite in the wagering and despite getting away in the pocket came first over at the half-mile pole. Behind a third quarter of :28.2, Cash Me Out overpowered his rivals before stopping the timer in a career best-matching 1:57.3.

The other winners of the $59,100 Sire Stakes races were Gural Hanover (by Crazed), who was the fastest of the Stakes winners with a 1:55.4 score, and Lukas Hall (by Conway Hall), who held on to win in 1:57.4. Both Gural Hanover and Lukas Hall were piloted to their victories by Jim Morrill Jr., who tallied three wins on the card.

Sire Stakes action returns to the Spa on Saturday, July 12 when two-year-old colt and gelding pacers come to town to slug it out.
