Lady Gambler Wins Georgian Preferred

Simon Allard and Lady Gambler clicked to win the $15,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred Trot Saturday night at Georgian Downs

Lady Gambler went to front and was unchallenged, cutting fractions of :27.4, :59.1 and 1:29 before crossing the wire in 1:57.4. Saqqara Dream (Steve Byron) finished second and Desperatehousewife (Todd Ratchford) was third.

The five-year-old Cr Royal Flush mare is trained and co-owned by Rene Allard of Saint-Esprit, Que. with co-owners Ferne and Jack Frydman, Thornhill, Ont.

This is Lady Gambler’s 27th lifetime win and fourth in a row, increasing her bankroll to over $166,000 lifetime.
