The Tyler Buter-driven Rebellious captured Tioga Downs’ featured $12,000 Open Handicap Pace on Sunday (June 2).

Rebellious ($4.90) took the lead before hitting the first quarter in :26.3. He continued to control the pace and clicked off the half and three quarters in :55.2 and 1:23.3, respectively.

Rebellious, who is owned by Joel Warner and trainer Mike Deters, was joined in the stretch by Ideal Feeling (driven by Wally Hennessey) and the two battled all the way home. Ideal Feeling finished hard, but Rebellious dug in and held on to win in 1:52.1. Ideal Feeling had to settle for second, while Rockntouch (Mike Simons) finished third.
