Pig Hunt set a new lifetime mark on Thursday evening at Saratoga Casino Hotel as the Janice Connor-trained trotter prevailed in the feature.
Stephane Bouchard guided Pig Hunt to the outside approaching the half-mile pole in the $9,950 feature for New York Sired trotters and the four-year-old daughter of Conway Hall trotted past the leader Hollywood Jess (Wally Hennessey) and never looked back. The win was the first of the season for Pig Hunt and came in a career best 1:58.2. Hollywood Jess held second while With Our Luck (Jim Devaux) earned the show spot.
Bouchard piloted a pair of winners on the card and continues to hold a big lead at the top of the local driver standings.
