Hanover Raceway hosted a great crowd for Molson Men's Night on Saturday (June 18) and driver Brad Forward was the big winner on-track.

The 45-year-old Newfoundland native won four races on the 10-race card, starting out with a win behind Buttercup Baby in the first race in 2:00 for trainer Kyle Reibeling and owner ICR Racing of Pefferlaw, Ont. Forward won again in race four with Outasight Hanover in the same time of 2:00 for trainer/owner Jack Harris of Hagersville. He also won race five with Cat Four in 1:56.1 for trainer Jim Watt and owner Alyshia Williamson of Blyth, and finished the "Grand Slam" in race nine with Win One Soon for trainer Kenneth Fritsch and owner Ron Ash of Desboro.

The feature race was race four, the second leg of the Alliance Claiming Series for filly and mare pacers. Outasight Hanover is among those who qualify for the final next week at Grand River Raceway. She was claimed for $7,875 by Tess Mauro Ridgeville and Steve Mihalic of Burlington. Finishing second was the Michael Stamp-trained Imnotamirage for driver Clark Steacy and owner Janet Larcombe of Clinton.

Several fathers were lucky winners as Molson donated well over $1,000 in prizes for fathers in attendance.

Hanover Raceway honours our kids next week with Hockeyville Day. Children and teens 14 and under wearing a hockey jersey can enter to win one of six bicycles, courtesy of The Hanover Rotary Club, Hanover Canadian Tire and Hanover Raceway. Post time is 7:15 p.m. next Saturday night.
