Dreamlands Art stung Schoolkids to the quarter before yielding to the pocket, then blew by in the lane to capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Preferred Pace at the Meadows.

Hustled to the lead by Mike Wilder, Dreamlands Art would not release Schoolkids before forcing him to a demanding :26.1 opening panel. In the stretch, Dreamlands Art blazed by his wearier rival and scored by one and three-quarter lengths in 1:49.4. Handsome Prince rallied for second, giving trainer Ron Burke an exacta sweep, while Schoolkids saved show.

Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, James Koran and BFJ Stable own Dreamlands Art, a five-year-old Artsplace-Dreamlands Delilah gelding who now boasts $380,320 in career earnings. The victory was one of four for Wilder on the 16-race card.

Dave Palone drove five winners Tuesday, raising his career total to 15,152 as he closes inexorably on Herve Filion’s North American record of 15,180.
