Dvc Done Good In Northside Open

Dvc Done Good delivered on his pari-mutuel promise with a wire-to-wire score in the $1,000 Open Handicap Pace at Northside Downs on Saturday

With Cruisinart scratched lame, the field for the afternoon feature was reduced to four. With Greg Sparling Jr. in the bike, Dvc Done Good carved out fractions of :29, :58.2 and 1:28, and held off Woodmere Westerner (Greg Bailey) by a head to win in 1:58. Lexus Bandito (Joseph Campbell) finished two lengths back in third with Big Decision (Jason MacNeill) trailing.

Dvc Done Good paid $3.10 to win as the 1-2 favourite. The six-year-old gelding, a son of Quentin Hanover-J Cs Good Girl owned and trained by Joseph Tracey, earned his third win of the year in 16 outings and pushed his earnings to $5,725. The 24-time career winner now sports a bankroll totaling $88,344.
