Adam T extended his win streak to six as he out-sprinted Unbounded River to the wire in the $14,000 Preferred 2 Trot at Georgian Downs on Saturday night

.

Adam T and trainer-driver Shane Weber got away sixth from Post 6 while New Dice Please (Pat Hudon) established the early lead from the rail and put up early fractions of :28.1 and :57. At the halfway point, Scrappy Wallace (Mike Langdon) went first up from third and took control with Unbounded River (Simon Allard) and Adam T following to the outside.

As Scrappy Wallace hit the three-quarters mark in 1:25.2, he made a costly miscue taking himself out of contention and leaving Unbounded River to take the lead with Adam T coming on for the challenge. Sprinting home in :29-seconds, Adam T prevailed by a half-length over Unbounded River in 1:55.3.

Adam T paid $4.30 to win as the 6-5 favourite. The homebred son eight-year-old son of Angus Hall-Cool Reins has won six of his seven starts this year to earn $59,000 for owners Thomas and Elizabeth Rankin of St. Catharines, ON. Adam T's 20th career win leaves him just under $6,000 shy of reaching the half-million dollar mark in earnings.
