Enchanted Mission went wire-to-wire to win the Friday (June 17) trotting feature at Northville Downs.
The eight-year-old son of Manyofmanymissions turned in fractions of :29.3, :59.3 and 1:28.2 to cruise to a 1:58.2 victory for driver Marc St. Louis Jr. in the $14,000 feature.
Last week's winner, Omyheart (Skip DeMull), made a serious bid first-up from the half-mile pole all the way through the stretch run, but could not get to Enchanted Mission, who hung on by a quarter-length.
Empire Earl N (Winter Asher-Stalbaum) ended up third off a pocket ride.
The victory, which paid $12.40, was career win No. 21 for Enchanted Mission, who is trained by Danielle St. Louis and owned by Joshua Tanis.
Northville Downs will race its next live program on Saturday (June 18). First-race post time remains 7:30 p.m. each night, with only three live race cards remaining in the spring meet, which ends the weekend of June 24-25.
