Anthony Hamlin was victorious in his driving debut in Friday night's (June 17) opener at Leamington Raceway with 10-year-old pacer Unique Shuffle.
Unique Shuffle recovered from an early interference break in stride and went on to score the victory in 2:05.2 for the 32-year-old Essex, Ontario reinsman. Stock Losses and Michael Hamlin finished second in the short field of four.
Unique Shuffle is trained by Gord McDonnell and owned by Steven Besterd. The Aces N Sevens gelding earned his first win of the season and 12th lifetime.
Driver Tyler Borth and trainer Catherine Gaudreau each had two wins on the seven-race fair card, including one together with pacing mare Blissfullannmarie.
