Local Horsepeople Step Up For Charity

Published: June 18, 2013 03:30 pm EDT

As per usual, when a local charity is in need of support, standardbred horsepeople are amongst the first to step up.

On July 7 at Lions Sports Park in Milton, Ont. there will be a Slo-Pitch tournament in support of Kerry’s Place Autism Services of Milton.

This is the first annual event in the area, and there will be a maximum of 12 teams with a Silent Auction, Spot Prizes and a great BBQ.

Curtis MacDonald signed his team up immediately and had this to say: "We were very excited to sign up for this tournament in supporting the amazing organization of Kerry’s Place Autism Services. Our team, consisting of local horsemen including Jody Jamieson, James MacDonald, and Nick Boyd are looking forward to a great day. We would also like to challenge other horsemen to come and take us on!”

Please visit bandrpromos.com for more details and/or contact Bonnie Holland at [email protected] for more information and to register. They are also accepting any donations and sponsors for the event.
