Alta Revelry N stole the show at Running Aces on Tuesday night (June 16) with a dominating gate-to-wire performance in the $20,833 Open Handicap Pace with trainer/driver Luke Plano in the bike.

Plano sent his charge into immediate action from post four off the gate to quickly establish command over his four foes while Speaking Volumes and driver Rick Magee were also revved up early and easily secured the pocket spot and JK Victory, with Dean Magee, floated away in third through the :27.1 opening stanza.

Plano orchestrated solid middle fractions of :55.4 and 1:23.3 to keep the field in chase mode behind Alta Revelry N and there were no right lines taken down the backside.

Rounding for home, 1-2 favourite Alta Revelry N was still well in command and in the lane proceeded to draw clear impressively to register a 3-1/4-length tally in 1:50.4 for his third win of the season in 18 starts while Speaking Volumes was clearly second best and Racing Ripper rallied late for Nick Roland to pick up the show money.

The winner is an eight-year-old gelding by Sunshine Beach and is owned by J M F Racing of Freehold, New Jersey. He now has 31 career wins and has earned $477,871.

Dandys Freedom picked up his third win in a row with a big stretch rally in the $16,319 Open II Handicap event as the 6-5 favourite, matching his career mark of 1:51 set last week. Longshot Its Pointless (Rick Magee) was up late for second over PD The Big Easy (Brady Jenson). Casey Leonard drove the winning four-year-old World Of Rocknroll gelding and also trains for Illinois-based owners Terry Leonard, Dandy Farms, Peter Kouchis and Ft Racing Stable. The win was part of a driving and training double on Tuesday for Leonard.

Brady Jenson was the win leader on the nine-race program with both a driving and training triple, and was recognized by Running Aces for recording his 500th career training win.

Live harness racing returns to Running Aces on Thursday night (June 18) with an eight-race program that will inclue a carryover in the 20-cent Pick-5 Jackpot of $16,518.26, starting in race four. Post time is set for 6 p.m. (CDT).
