He's the richest and fastest Standardbred this season, and he's perfect in his five 2025 appearances. And according to his U.S. Hall of Fame trainer, he's possibly even "an improvement" on his Hall of Fame sire.

That horse is Louprint, the 2025 Pepsi North America Cup winner. When harness racing's first Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll of the year is released on Wednesday, June 18, there's a good chance he's the top choice based on his seasonal accomplishments.

And if that pacer is the top-ranked Standardbred on the continent, there's a good chance fans of racing who weren't on the Louprint bandwagon before are clamouring for a seat now.

So after capturing Canadian harness racing's most prestigious prize, what's next for the son of Sweet Lou - Rockin Racer? According to his trainer, some rest and a return to action stateside in three weeks time.

On Monday evening, Ron Burke told Trot Insider that Louprint's next planned appearance is on July 5, 2025 at Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J. for the eliminations of the Meadowlands Pace. As of Monday, there was no plan for a qualifying mile between now and the Pace elims.

Louprint launched himself into the top spot for earnings and speed this season by virtue of his gutsy 1:47.1 victory for driver Ronnie Wrenn Jr. in a thrilling edition of the 2025 Pepsi North America Cup on Saturday, June 14 at Woodbine Mohawk Park. The time of that victory, where the ever-so-slight second choice in wagering appeared to regain the lead in deep stretch after being bested by Madden Oaks, established a new stakes and Canadian record for three-year-old male pacers. Only older pacers Bulldog Hanover, Dr J Hanover, Warrawee Vital and Linedrive Hanover have paced faster on Canadian soil.

A homebred owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, Phil Collura and Larry Karr, Louprint's career summary stands at 12-2-1 from 15 career starts, sporting more than $1.6 million in purse earnings.
