Kendal Gustav, driven by his regular reinsman Lorne House, led from start to finish to earn his 30th career win on Wednesday night in the $7,500 Preferred 3 Pace at Grand River Raceway.

Taking the lead from the inside post position, Kendal Gustav carved out fractions of :27.4, :57.4 and 1:25.4 en route to the one and a quarter length victory in 1:54.2. He paid $18.80 to win as the 8-1 fourth wagering choice. Sir Machalot closed late to finish second while 3-5 favourite Astute wound up third after racing first over.

Kendal Gustav has now hit the board 10 times in 19 seasonal starts to earn nearly $30,000 for his connections and lift his lifetime bankroll to $211,327.
