Master Begonia worked out a comfortable pocket trip, then roared through the lane to capture the $27,500 Preferred Trot Wednesday at The Meadows for his fourth consecutive victory

Master Begonia waited patiently behind Prism K until Wind Surfer wore down the leader with a determined uncovered bid. When Wind Surfer finally cleared, Dave Palone angled Master Begonia off the pylons for the winning move. The six-year-old gelded son of Master Lavec-Shimma Begonia scored in 1:54.4, a neck better than Wind Surfer, with Prism K third.

Ron Burke trains Master Begonia, whose win streak spans two races at Hoosier Park and a pair at The Meadows, for Burke Racing Stable and Weaver Bruscemi LLC.

Palone and Ray Paver each drove three winners on the card, which saw the final four races cancelled due to heavy rain and lightning.
