It was a big Monday (June 15) afternoon at Saratoga Casino Hotel for trainer Gary Levine and driver Jimmy Devaux as that tandem teamed up for three victories on the trotting-filled card.
Devaux has been the regular driver for the Levine Stable for several years now and on Monday that dynamic duo made three trips to the winner’s circle.
Claiming trotter Jeffery J has enjoyed a terrific 2026 season and recorded his fifth victory of the season on the Monday matinee when Devaux wasted no time moving the 6-5 betting favourite to the lead in a $18,056 race for trotters. Jeffery J got a bit tired in the stretch but proved best to complete the Levine/Devaux hat trick when he completed a 1:58.4 wire-to-wire score.
Levine, of Ballston Spa, NY, owns the four-year-old stallion son of Bar Hopping-Drinking Money who has won 10 of 49 lifetime, banking $208,720.
Devaux and Levine scored wins earlier in the card with Phantom Tom and young trotter Willie Boy who moved his record to two-for-two since joining the Levine stable just a few weeks ago.
The trio of Levine trotters added three more to the bulky win total registered by Levine in ’26 who sits third in the local trainer standings.
Live racing continues on Tuesday with a matinee that begins at 12 p.m.
