Sophomore trotting colt Publicity Seeker wasn't shy about showing off his talent during the Tuesday (June 15) session of qualifiers at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
With regular pilot Doug McNair at the controls, Publicity Seeker was sent on a front-end mission in his second outing of the season. After hammering out fractions of :29.1, :57.4 and 1:26.4, Publicity Seeker powered home in :28.4 to trip the timer in 1:55.3 nearly five full seconds — 24 lengths — ahead of his outmatched rivals.
Trained by Steve Bossence, Publicity Seeker (Muscle Mass - Pretty Crafty) comes into his three-year-old season after a five-win rookie campaign that ended with a three-race win streak in the Ontario Harvest Series. Bossence co-owns the $38,000 London Selected Yearling Sale purchase with Richard Thompson of London and Derek Reid of Etobicoke, Ont.
