L&J Racing Inc.'s E Z Noah (Tony Morgan, $2.60) continued to relish the Delaware air with his third straight win, this one in 1:51.4, Monday in the $16,000 Open Pace at Harrington Raceway.
The six-year-old Western Terror gelding had spent the winter in the tropical climate of Pompano Beach, Florida, where he raced at Pompano Park. Sent off as the 1-5 favourite Monday, the Josh Green-trained E Z Noah did not disappoint and remains unbeaten in his three Delaware starts this season. He led virtually gate-to-wire and was a one length winner over People Are Crazy and Elite Awards.
Montrell Teague, who had three wins on the program, took the early double with Shiretown Pitbull ($5.60) and Remember Me VK ($2.10). Remember Me VK improved to four-for-four to start his sophomore campaign with a dazzling 1:51.4 win for trainer Bob Wyatt and owners Sharon Wyatt, Robin West and Robin Benton. The Art Director gelding has won seven of nine career starts.
Driver Victor Kirby also had a driving double, winning consecutive races in the third and fourth with Raritan Bay ($5) and Beavercreek Artist ($5.60). Jon Roberts, piloted Feel Like A Fool ($2.80) and Tauranga ($5.60) to victory to complete his driving double, while George Dennis also had two winners with Something Blue ($6) and Roddys Hot Again ($3.20). Allan Davis was the fifth driver to win at least two races on the card, prevailing with Provenance ($2.40) and Son Of A Sizzle ($3.60). Son Of A Sizzle, a son of Life Sizzles and a familiar rival of Remember Me VK, prepped for upcoming DSBF action with an impressive 1:53 win for trainer Green, who had a double.
