J Rs Hurricane delivered his third straight win among New Brunswick's top pacing ranks on Saturday afternoon, returning to the scene of his first win in the province at Fredericton Raceway.
Driven by Lonny Stokes, J Rs Hurricane won the $1,500 Winners Over Pace in 2:00 over the 'good' track rated two seconds off. The favourite won by more than four lengths over Skippy and his stablemate Sparky Bayama.
J Rs Hurricane has settled into his new home nicely, going undefeated in three New Brunswick starts -- his last at Exhibition Park Raceway -- since being claimed on May 24 at Charlottetown Driving Park by Jean Belliveau for $7,000. Prior to that, the five-year-old Mach Three gelding raced at tracks across Ontario. He's compiled 16 wins and $96,620 in career earnings.
