Half-mile specialist Abbey Road C made a guest appearance in Grand River Raceway’s trotting feature on Tuesday evening, and the 10-year-old son had no problem front-stepping his way to his 62nd lifetime victory

Trainer/driver Keith Jones was parked past the quarter pole in :28.3 with the 10-year-old son of Incredible Abe-Jayport Whimsey before clearing to the top, and once he cleared it was game over for everyone else.
Abbey Road C laid down middle splits of :59.3 and 1:29.1 before scooting home in :29.1 for the 1:58.2 decision. Runner-up A Hay Luva Paige was two lengths in arrears, and Southwind Califon tagged along to finish third in the $12,800 tilt.
Margaret Charlton of Sarnia, ON holds the papers on the graduate of the Ontario Sires Stakes program. The veteran has banked $1,986,626 to date.
