With just nine races on the Tuesday (June 14) card at Georgian Downs, driver Colin Kelly rode onto the track with fervor to record a five-victory evening.
Kelly started the night with a natural hat trick in the first three races, going coast to coast with Iwanna B A Pirate ($3.90), Dads Princess ($2.40) and Hercule J M ($7). He went a few races before returning to the winner's circle with Print Media ($5.70) and bookended the card with a victory in the nightcap behind Good And Sweet ($5.90).
The five-win night for Kelly now propels him to the top of the standings at Georgian Downs from fifth with eight victories in the young meet. The Maritime native is already well on track to post his fifth million-dollar season off a near career year that saw him record a personal record for wins with 278 but just miss his purse record with $1,799,883 in money won.
