Ozzie turned in a 1:58.2 winning effort for trainer/driver Ron Gass in Sunday afternoon’s feature race at
the Charlottetown Driving Park Entertainment Centre.
The six-year-old gelded son of Space Shuttle, who is owned by Calgary, Alberta’s Bill Andrew, took command of the field at the half and held on gamely on for the victory over Hawaiian Legacy and Teddys Place.
It was the 2009 debut for Ozzie, who is now 12-for-42 in his career. He has banked more than $67,000 to date.
