Dali is now two-for-two in his four-year-old campaign thanks to a dazzling 1:49.3 victory Saturday in the $50,000 Open Pace at Mohawk Racetrack

.

Mr Saratoga (Sylvain Filion) showed early gate speed leaving from Post 2 and putting up a :26.3 opening quarter, but Dali and driver Jody Jamieson, who left from the outside post, bypassed a four-hole at the rail and drove on to claim the top spot before the :54.3 half. Once in command, the Duane Marfisi trained son of Real Artist rolled past the third quarter station in 1:22.1. As Dali turned for home he pushed away from the field by three and a quarter lengths to seal the deal.

Mr Saratoga stayed for second and Proven Lover (John Campbell) came on for third.

Dali, who ended his sophomore campaign with a 1:48.2 world record equaling performance in the Matron Stakes, notched his 11th liftetime score and pushed his earnings over to $1.1 million for the Uncirculated Stable of Brantford, Ont. and the JL Benson Stables of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
