Andrea Hill’s Jeremy’s Successor picked up his seventh win of the year Monday with a 1:53.1 triumph in the featured $18,600 Open Pace at Harrington Raceway
Jeremys Successor, a seven-year-old Mach Three gelding, assumed command early from Fields Of Honour A and never looked back for driver Sean Bier. Fractions of :28.1, :57.1 and 1:25.2 were laid down before the odds-on favourite kicked home in :27.4 to hold on for the nose decision over runner-up Diggers Rest N and third-place finisher Chili NZ. Time for the mile was 1:53.1.
Trained by Crissy Crissman, Jeremy Successor has now banked more than $120,000 in 2011.
