Seeing as though live racing has taken a brief hiatus at The Raceway at the Western Fair District, track announcer Greg Blanchard is planning on making his presence felt at other tracks in the province.
Rideau Carleton Raceway has announced that Blanchard will co-host its expanded coverage of the Des Smith Classic Pace, which is to be held on July 15.
In recent years, Blanchard, who has a long and impressive resume in the North American harness racing game, also worked with the Woodbine Entertainment Group, and became a well-known figure on 'Race Night' and 'Bet Night Live' on The Score Television Network.
On July 15 at Rideau, Blanchard will team up with track announcer Norm Borg to provide analysis and in-depth interviews with the various connections.
