Harness racing's rookie crop of 2010 took to the track on Saturday morning for 11 sets of qualifiers at Mohawk Racetrack.
On the pace, the fastest time of the morning was shared by two fillies. Rock Ann Rolling (Rocknroll Hanover - Myrnas Jackpot), a $27,000 Harrisburg yearling purchase from Perretti Farms' consignment, carved out all the fractions before hitting the wire in 1:59.1 for driver Rick Zeron and trainer Jim Ainsworth and owners Larry Ainsworth, Ross Holmes and Bill
Boden.
Imagine Semalu (Life Sign - Verge Dor Semalu) and driver Sylvain Filion closed from off the pace in an eye-catching :27.2 to win her qualifying debut in an identical time of 1:59.1. The homebred, owned by Semalu Inc and Zoom And Fish Stable Inc., is trained by Pierre Touchette.
