Georgian Downs kicks off its 2024 season on Sunday, June 2 with a 10-dash card.
The Innisfil, Ont. oval hosts live harness racing thrice weekly through to Saturday, Aug. 31 with Standardbreds in action on Sunday, Tuesday and Saturday nights.
First race post time is 6 p.m. for the Sunday cards and 7:15 p.m. for the Tuesday and Saturday offerings.
The fifth race on Sunday's card features a stout group of nine trotters vying for a $11,000 purse. Epic Dreamer (PP4, Travis Henry, 2-1) was claimed twice during the month of May, and he's the only one entered in this event with a $30,000 price tag. Morning line oddsmakers view Montiverdi (PP1, Natasha Day, 3-1) and Hesohot Hanover (PP5, Doug Brown, 7-2) as the closest competition.
Sunday's card also features Leg 1B of the Prospect Series for three-year-old male trotters. Those squaregaiters hit the track in Races 2 and 3.
