Saturday, June 4 is the last day to register for the Meadowlands Racetrack’s fourth annual Wiener Dog Derby, which takes place on Saturday, July 11.

The registered dachsund will be competing for the $500 Grand Prize in between the live horse races. Live racing kicks off at 6:20 p.m.
The Wiener Derby will feature up to eight qualifying heats (depending on the number of entrants) with the top canine from each heat advancing to the final. The first qualifying heat is at 6:45 p.m. The Wiener Dog Derby Final will take place on the racetrack after Race 8 at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The derby takes place in the racetrack’s Backyard and admission and parking are free.
Fans, family and friends are encouraged to come out and cheer on their favourite hound. Just remember only participating dogs are allowed at the track, no spectator dogs permitted.
