Pebble Creek won the $6,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace for owner Debbie Bird of Harwood, Ontario on Friday (May 31) at Northfield Park.

Trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. called upon Keith Kash Jr. to drive. Pebble Creek (Modern Art-Hayser Creek-Threefold) started from post two and led at every call through fractions of :28.1, :57.1, 1.26.1 and 1:55.2 over a sloppy surface. She was never really challenged and was one and a quarter lengths in front at the finish. Completing the race were The Sweet Dion, Miss Two Punch, Haley Louise, Posey Patch, Coupon Lady and Umygerogia Hanover.

The six-year-old mare, a 2010 Silver Reign Pacing Series champion at Woodbine Racetrack, now has 10 career wins and over $135,000 in earnings.

She paid $17.40 to win.
