Serious Crash Near Windsor Raceway

According to a report, police are seeking witnesses to a serious car crash which occurred last night at roughly 8:00 p.m. on Ojibway Parkway near Windsor Raceway

. An 18-year-old driver was taken to hospital as a result of the crash, where he remains in critical condition.

The Windsor Star has cited police as saying that the two-vehicle accident occurred after a northbound 2000 Ford Mustang crossed the raised concrete median and collided with a southbound 1997 Chrysler Intrepid.

The 18-year-old which was driving the Mustang reportedly has severe injuries, while the 52-year-old that was behind the wheel of the Intrepid was treated in hospital for minor injuries.

“The Mustang was driving northbound and I’m not sure how he lost control, he may have hit the curb or something and he went skipping over into oncoming traffic heading south and basically got T-boned by the Intrepid,” witness Joel Paterson was quoted as saying.
