.

Under the command of trainer/driver Terry Gallant, the five-year-old Blissfull Hall gelding headed straight to the front from the outside Post 6 and carved out fractions of :28.2, :58.2 and 1:27 en route to victory in 1:56.3 by three-quarters of a length.

Sounding and Ron Matheson finished second with the pocket-sitting Negrito and Michael Stevenson holding on for third. It was a big day for the former New Brunswick based driver now residing on Prince Edward Island as Stevenson drove four winners on the day.
