J One Twenty once again bested her foes on Wednesday, May 8 at The Raceway at Western Fair District after she won her second straight in the $11,600 Fillies and Mares Preferred Pace.
Tyler Borth and J One Twenty took the early lead while Caesars Shot (Brett MacDonald) was the first to the opening quarter panel in :28.2 from the outside. After that mark, Caesars Shot retreated and J One Twenty accelerated, maintaining control of the timer through panels in :58.1 and 1:26.4 before crossing the wire two lengths in front in 1:56.1. Premier Delight (Jeffrey Hunt) had to settle for second and Caesars Shot completed the triactor.
Owned by John Obrien and Jerry Sims, J One Twenty (Artspeak-Saintsbury Lady) won her fourth race of 2024 from 11 starts and her 17th career tally from 37 starts. The five-year-old mare moved her lifetime earnings beyond the six-figure mark at $101,294 banked. She returned $3.80 as the bettors' choice in the feature.
