Jody Jamieson hosted a driving clinic on Monday, May 6 at Woodbine Mohawk Park, winning five including the featured $36,000 Preferred Trot with O'Brien Award winner Logan Park.
Jamieson and the Kyle Fellows prodigy sailed to the top from post five and the pair never looked back. With every panel in :28, :58.2 and 1:25.4, Logan Park extended his lead over his field of foes. The millionaire trotter reached the wire in 1:52.4, 5-1/4 lengths the best. Franks Angel (Trevor Henry) took second and Patriarch Hanover (Sylvain Filion) finished third.
Logan Park is owned by Outofthepark Stable, Reg Higgs and Arpad Szabo. The Archangel-Rite Outa The Park gelding won his 2024 debut and his 25th lifetime race. From 65 races, Logan Park has banked $1,087,192. He returned $3.50 as the bettors' choice.
Jamieson followed his Preferred triumph with a win with Gerard Demers student Mach Impact ($16) by three-quarters of a length in 1:52.3 before posting a natural hat trick in races five through seven. Ondrej Gois' student Full Disclosure ($7.50) won by a half length in 1:52.4, Mrmayor Hanover ($27) won by a nose in 1:53.1 for trainer Anthony Montini, and Leonard Lalonde's Sir A ($9.30) completed Jamieson's five-win tally with a 1:52.4 score by a neck.
