The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame today (Friday) announced its ballot for consideration into the Hall of Fame
for 2011.
On the standardbred side of things, Astreos, Majestic Son and Wesgate Crown are on the ballot under the 'Male Horses' category; B Cor Tamara, Burning Point and Invitro under the 'Female Horses' category; Steve Condren, Wally Hennessey and Dave Wall under the 'Persons (Drivers/Trainers)' category; Robert Burgess, Doug Harkness and Charles Juravinski under the 'Builders' category; and Dalyce Blue, Rumpus Hanover and Silver Reign under the 'Veteran Horses' category.
On the thoroughbred bred side of things, Touch Gold, Soaring Free and Quiet Resolve are on the ballot under the Male Horses category; Dancethruthedawn, Arravale and One For Rose under the Female Horses category; Mark Frostad, Phil England and Mickey Walls under the Persons (Drivers/Trainers) category; the late Tammy Samuel Balaz, Aubrey W. Minshall and Bruce Walker under the Builders category; and Square Angel, Ruling Angel and Imperial Choice under the Veteran Horses category.
Please note that the deadline for return of election ballots --- at least on the standardbred side of things --- is Monday, May 16
The 2011 inductees into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame will be announced Tuesday, May 17.
The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame's 2011 gala induction ceremony will be held Thursday, August 18, at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
