Veteran pacer Lifestream Mindale extended his win streak to 10 with a front-end score in Flamboro Downs’ sixth race for $6,500 claimers Wednesday afternoon

The 12-year-old son of Life Sign-Brooke Lobell, who is trained by Bill Robinson for Montreal’s Gerrie Tucker, was sent to the lead from Post 5 by his regular partner, Simon Allard, and carved out panels of :27.4, :58 and 1:26.4 while Truth Or Dare (Jody Jamieson) pressed the pace. In the stretch, Lifestream Mindale's challenger began to weaken leaving him in the clear to score his 10th consecutive victory in 1:56.3. The pocket-sitting Whitesand Macgyver (Corey Giles) finished 1-3/4 lengths behind and Keystone Best Bet (Robert Shepherd) rounded out the top three.
Sent postward as the 3-5 favourite, Lifestream Mindale returned $3.20 to win.
Lifestream Mindale, who has compiled a record of 10-1-2 in 14 starts this year with nearly $25,000 in winnings, began his streak back in mid-February. The photogenic gelding is now a winner of 70 races lifetime and is just over $1,500 shy of reaching the $300,000 mark in earnings.
