Trot Insider has learned that the first foal of former Atlantic Breeders Crown winner Final Balance, from Muscle Mass’ first crop, was born on April 24 in Irishtown
, New Brunswick.
Final Balance put together of record reading 40-11-11 in 104 career starts earning $245,060 with a mark of 1:55.2 taken in a Mares Invitational at Hippodrome de Montreal during her six-year-old campaign.
Final Balance was a standout at age three winning 16 out of 19 starts including a division of Summerside Raceway’s Maple Leaf Trot, her Maritime Breeders Final, a division of the PEI Colt Stakes and Island Breeders Series, and multiple Atlantic Sires Stakes events including the Atlantic Breeders Crown. In addition, her records for three-year-old trotters at Charlottetown Driving Park (2:00.3) and Truro Raceway (2:01), and for aged trotting mares at Rideau Carleton Raceway (1:56) still stand.
Final Balance, a nine-year-old Balance Of Trade-Summer House mare, is owned by breeder One Black Horse Stable of Moncton, NB and Standardbred Canada Director Rick Karper of Saint-Laurent, QC.
