The four-year-old son of D M Dilinger – Armbro Tupelo brushed to the lead shortly after the mid-way point of the mile, and from there he fended off a late challenge from Peenie en route to posting the 1:53.4 decision in the $12,100 Preferred Pace for driver J.R. Plante. Peenie was a determined runner-up and Priceless Edition rounded out the top three.
Rene Bourassa conditions D M Coltfortyfive, a former claimer who put together a 7-for-10 record since being scooped up for $15,000 earlier this year by his wife, Kim, and the M&S Racing Stable Inc. of Rockwood, ON.
