Tioga Downs held a special matinee race program on Monday afternoon and featured three New York Sire Stakes prep races each for $10,000.

Lucky Cadet and Lewayne Miller stole the show in the prep race for three-year old colt and gelding pacers with a new lifetime best of 1:51.2. Miller sent the son of Art Major–Yankee Luck first over and cleared past the three quarters in 1:23.3 and cruised home to win with a final panel of 27.4. It was the second win of the year for Lucky Cadet who is trained by Erv Miller for Mary Jane Anderson and Ronald Michelon.

In the prep for three-year old colt trotters, Pay The Winner got up in the final strides of the mile to win his first of the season in a new lifetime best of 1:55. Sam Schillaci trains, drives, and co-owns the son of Credit Winner–Prize Chip with Howard Berke and Matt Bencic.

Lucky Turn and Jason Bartlett despite having the nine-hole in their prep race got the job done late in the lane to win her first of the year in a new lifetime best of 1:55. Linda Toscano trains the daughter of Bettors Delight–Life Cycle for Ken Jacobs.
