Bettors Donttell captured the $18,919 Open Pace to kick off a training triple for Cameron Capone at Tioga Downs on Sunday, May 3.
Sun Of A Show (Braxten Boyd) was first to the quarter in :26.4 before letting Livonjaxandqueens (Greg Merton) take over just past that point. Bettors Donttell, sitting fourth past the half in :55.3, made his move for Ridge Warren heading down the backstretch and was alongside Livonjaxandqueens at three-quarters in 1:24.2. As they made the turn for home, Bettors Donttell took off like a rocket and kicked away to win by 4-1/4 lengths in 1:53. Livonjaxandqueens had to settle for second, with Fearful Intent (Tyler Miller) third.
Bettors Donttell is now 32-for-151 lifetime. The eight-year-old Bettors Delight-Donttellruss gelding has four wins in 13 outings this season for owner Josh Kinney. He paid $7.24 to win.
Capone doubled in the following race as Custom Fit ($31.14) upset at 14-1 with Warren in the bike, and Dontbothermenone N ($16.80) took the finale for Greg Merton to complete the Capone triple. The fifth-year trainer is 27-for-145 on the season following a career-best total of 78 victories in 2025.
Ridge Warren had a driving hat trick on the 11-race card. Tom Merton and Braxten Boyd had driving doubles.
