Keystone Orion (John MacDonald) laid down fractions of :27.4, :57.3 and 1:26.3, but that one couldn’t seal the deal. First Call (Homer Hochstetler) was third best.

Whittemore won two more on the night. He also clicked with Glory Jean ($7.80) and Air Dynamic ($6.20).

Ben McNeil had a driving double. He notched his wins with Gimmesomeroom ($27.00), and Mydelight Bluechip ($7.20).
