Good Work! To me this means are efforts are paying off. If we all contacted the NDP's they must of heard us. So 4 liberals must of voted for it so now we must pound the liberals with phone callls and e-mails to get more on board.I think they really under estimated the people in the racing industry.

A sincere debt of gratitude to Mr. Monte McNaughton today and those in the Legislature who stood up and voted in support of Bill C76. Bill C76 will give the people in each host municipality a voice to determine the future placement and want of casinos. This is the democratic process that we wish could be in place at all levels of government - municipal, provincial or federal. We should have a say when a decision effects so many with respect to the moral and ethical fibre of our communities. We elect those to represent our interests as a whole and while some electorates forget that fact and put their own political agendas before the people who put them in office, making decisions unilaterally without consultation, takes away from this democratic process. Today we have seen how the system works when good people do the right thing on behalf of the people who put them there.

We horsemen are a resilient bunch, this industry has taught us all to adjust to the ups and downs. This government has underestimated the Will we have to succeed, to see this industry grow and those who have invested their life in it, prosper. Stay strong and stand together.
