.

In rein to trainer/driver Ted McDonald, Barockey rallied to an impressive victory, and in doing so she earned a new lifetime speed badge of 1:55.

McDonald got away fourth with the three-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Mystical Maiden, while Rockin Belle marched to the top and served up splits of :26.3, :55.1 and 1:24.1. Barockey made a first-over move at the half, and she was able to drop into the two-hole in the backstretch. She launched a late attack and used her :30.1 closing speed to win by 2-1/4 lengths over Olivias Way. Rockin Belle faded to finish third after setting the fractions.

Julie Ferguson of Greely, ON owns the pacing lass who now boasts a 7-2-2 record from just 12 trips to the track this season after going unraced as a freshman. The $13,400 payday boosted her cash stash to $42,379.

Eight pacers lined up behind the starting gate in Thursday’s $13,000 Preferred at Rideau Carleton Raceway, and GD Airliner won in 1:55 en route to keeping an impressive winning streak intact for Team Allard.

The four-year-old son of Panspacificflight-Mackenzie Beth brushed to the top shortly past the quarter pole for driver Simon Allard and proceeded to hammer out middle splits of :57.2 and 1:26.1 before using a :28.4 final frame to seal the deal by a length over Outrageous Art. Cajon Thunder took home the show dough.

Sent off as the 4-5 favourite for trainer Rene Allard, GD Airliner won for the fifth straight start. Allard shares ownership on the gelding with Howard Taylor, Abraham Basen and Gilles Fleury. The victory was the pacer’s 13th lifetime tally, and the winning payday pushed his overall earnings to $233,756.
