Hoosier Shark was an upset winner in featured $5,500 pace at Tioga Downs, paying $58.00 to win, on Saturday (May 29).

Devisser led to the first quarter in :26.2. Idealthecards took control as they went by the stands for the first time and led by the half in :55.4. He started to scoot loose up the backstretch and led to three-quarters in 1:24.1.

As they made the turn for home, 1-9 favourite Rousseau came first-up to challenge. Hoosier Shark then made a sweeping three-wide move in the stretch and blew right on by to win in 1:53.3. Rousseau finished second. Yannick Seelster came up to finish third.

Hoosier Shark is a three-year-old colt by Tellitlikeitis. He is owned and trained by driver Braxton Boyd. It was his second win this season and third victory overall.

Boyd was also owner, trainer, and driver for a win with Roll To The Beach ($4.30). Driver Jody Jamieson and trainer Blake Macintosh combine for two wins on the card. They won with Black Tie Bash ($2.90) and Perfectboy Hanover ($7.90).

Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (May 30) with a nine-race-card starting at 1:00 p.m. (EDT).
