The Josh Green trainee grinded away first-over at pacesetter Spunky Jack after fractions of :29.1, :59 and 1:27.3. He edged clear at the top of the stretch and held off a fierce late charge by Cash On Delivery, who ducked to the inside late for the place spot. Spunky Jack finished third.
Ontario-sired Traverse Seelster increased his lifetime earnings to $482,911 and seasonal bankroll to more than $70,000.
Tony Morgan registered three driving wins. Allan Davis, Ben Stafford Jr., Ross Wolfenden and Victor Kirby each had driving doubles.
