Horsemen and fans of harness racing in Saskatchewan will have to wait just a bit longer for the
season to start.
Heavy rains have caused Friday's season opening card at Yorkton Exhibition to be canceled and rescheduled. Racing will take place next Friday, June 4 with a post time of 5:45 p.m. There will be an added race day next weekend to make up for today's rainout on Sunday, June 6 with a special afternoon post time of 2 p.m.
The box will close Monday at 10 a.m. for Friday's race card and Tuesday (after 1 p.m. qualifiers) for Sunday's race card.
