Three-year-old pacers If I Can Dream and Schoolkids are scheduled to race at Vernon Downs Saturday, May 30.

If I Can Dream, who will be making his third start of the year, has returned to trainer Tracy Brainard. Josh Marks will drive the Western Hanover colt from Post 3 in a condition event slated as Race 6.

Schoolkids, a stablemate to If I Can Dream, has also returned to Brainard’s Vernon Downs stable. The son of I Am A Fool made his way to the Brainard stable in August of last year. Schoolkids will leave from Post 9 on Saturday night in the Open Handicap pace (Race 7). Josh Marks will do the driving.

Schoolkids has been assessed as the 25-1 tenth pick in Trot Magazine's 2009 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book. If I can Dream has been installed as a 12th-overall spring book selection at odds of 32-1.

“If I Can Dream is prepping for the Art Rooney next weekend at Yonkers, and if all goes well, Schoolkids is aimed for the Burlington and North American Cup at Mohawk,” said Marks.

“We are glad to get these horses back in the stable. Schoolkids is probably one of my favourite horses, I love this horse."
