Tellers Caught Betting On The Job

It has been reported that 11 of Yonkers Raceway's pari-mutuel tellers have each been handed 30-day suspensions after it was revealed that they were wagering on races

while on the job.

An article on lohud.com also states that the New York State Racing and Wagering Board also fined and handed down 60-day suspensions to a trio of former pari-mutuel clerks.

NYSRWB Spokesman Joe Mahoney was quoted as saying, "Maintaining the integrity of the pari-mutuel system is of paramount importance to the board members."

Those that received the 30-day suspensions and $250 fines are Robert Bellofatto, George DiGrandi, Raymond Gorman, Natale Greco, John Hayden, Daniel Jordan, Rosalie Richman, Robert Dececco, David Decker, Raymond Zukowski and Robert Gatto.

The former clerks that somehow received 60-day suspensions and $500 fines were Jerry Kebrdle, John Thompson and Kurt Klebert.
